Drone aerials and photogrammetry, terrestrial scans and Gaussian splats, from Mactan to Palawan.
Real places flown and scanned, people turned into rigged digital humans, and all of it rendered in a real-time engine. The same pipeline makes our games, our reels and the Lapu-Lapu story.
What we fly and scan becomes the set. The coast of Hadsan beach in PH Watersports comes from OpenStreetMap, with the land modelled after our drone photo of the cove; the tourist bangka in Isda is modelled to the proportions of our drone photogrammetry of bangkas at anchor.
In Unreal Engine 5.8 we took public photos of three well-known Filipinas to rigged, textured MetaHumans, with faces that blink and breathe, shot on 85 mm cine cameras and rendered with Movie Render Queue. AI models did the engine work by writing Python inside the editor. The likeness is not there yet; the pipeline is.
The Battle of Mactan, 27 April 1521, is the story we keep coming back to: a real-time 3D game made in Lapu-Lapu City, rigged characters and warboats, and the feature film The First Defender.
Drone aerials and photogrammetry, terrestrial scans and Gaussian splats, from Mactan to Palawan.
3D maps of Lapu-Lapu City and Metro Cebu, the CCLEX bridge, Boracay and El Nido, on Sketchfab.
MetaHumans from photos, measured with research face models; characters rigged for animation, like an eskrimador for Filipino martial arts.
Worlds you walk through in real time from world models such as HY-World 1.5, and 3D generated from a single photo.
Unreal Engine for digital humans and renders; browser engines for games that run on a phone, nothing to install.
