What we could not verify
Compiled 4 October 2026. Every URL listed was opened (WebFetch or curl), except where marked 'search snippet only'. PDFs and photos supplied by the site owner are cited as TPB programme documents and Budots Media photos. UNVERIFIED or left null: (1) ICCA. ICCA's 2025 rankings (released 19 May 2026) are members/press-only. The MICE Times summary of the press copy gives Manila 17th in Asia-Pacific with 38 meetings and lists the Philippines in the APAC top 15 (named 14th, after Vietnam, before Macao), but gives no Philippine global rank or meeting count, so country_rank and country_meetings are null. icca.cities rank 17 is the Asia-Pacific rank, not global. Cebu is not in the 2025 APAC top 20. The 2024 ICCA edition was not verified; one search snippet claimed Manila was 88th worldwide with 28 meetings, but that was not opened. Latest official public abstract opened is 2023 data: Philippines 42nd worldwide / 11th APAC with 58 meetings; Manila 60th worldwide / 11th APAC with 38; Cebu City 332nd worldwide with 5 (assets.simpleviewinc.com). (2) MICECON 2027 dates and venue: not announced. (3) Exact 49th ASEAN Summit dates (16-18 Nov) come from Wikipedia without a citation; PCO and PICC confirm only 'November' at PICC. (4) Sinulog 2027 date is calculated from the third-Sunday rule. (5) PTAA TTE 2027 and PHITEX 2027 dates are unknown. (6) SMX Seaside Cebu: Q3 2026 opening target; actual opening not confirmed. (7) Opening years for SMX Manila, SMX Davao, Marriott Grand Ballroom, Solaire, NUSTAR, Waterfront Cebu and Shangri-La Mactan were left null (not on the pages opened). (8) Philippine Arena and Iloilo Convention Center specs are from Wikipedia only (official sites did not render or were unreachable). (9) Okada Manila, City of Dreams Manila, Solaire Resort North, Clark's ASEAN Convention Center / Fontana, and the IC3 / former IEC Pavilion in Cebu were left out: no official specs could be retrieved. (10) MICE Plus cash-assistance amounts were not verified (TPB PDFs sat behind a Cloudflare check); older press reports mention up to PHP1M for incentive groups and exhibitions, but that was not opened. No programme called 'Meet Philippines' could be confirmed. Bid-preparation support appears in search snippets but not on the TPB services page that was opened. (11) DOT MICE division: no separate DOT MICE planner page was found; TPB (a DOT-attached agency) is the planner-facing body. (12) Davao airport operator status in October 2026 not verified. (13) Coordinates are from OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoding of the named venue (Solaire point is The Theatre at Solaire; SMX Seaside point is SM Seaside City Cebu; SMX Davao is SM Lanang Premier; SMX Clark is SM City Clark), accurate to building or complex level. (14) Wikipedia states a new KJC King Dome in Davao opened on 1 September 2026 as the world's largest indoor arena. Not verified, and politically sensitive (owned by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church), so it is not listed as a venue. (15) Shangri-La Mactan '800 beachfront reception' comes from the existing budotsmedia.com page; the 2026 fact sheet lists the indoor venues only. (16) The web-search quota ran out mid-research; later checks went straight to official sites and Wikipedia.
