40 UK conference hotels in 3D, and 831 event spaces drawn to scale

Each hotel is a georeferenced massing model built from OpenStreetMap footprints and heights, placed on its own map sheet. In London: Bankside, Bayswater, City of London, Covent Garden, Docklands, Greenwich Peninsula, Hammersmith, Heathrow, Holborn, Hyde Park Corner, Kensington, Lancaster Gate, Leicester Square, Marylebone, Mayfair, Paddington, Park Lane, South Bank, Strand, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Vauxhall, Victoria, Wembley, Whitehall. Beyond London: Hyatt Regency Birmingham (Birmingham), The Midland, Manchester (Manchester), The Celtic Manor Resort (Resort Hotel) (Newport), The Gleneagles Hotel (Auchterarder). Open a hotel’s event spaces to see each ballroom and meeting room at its published length, width and ceiling height, set for theatre, classroom, banquet, cabaret, cocktail, U-shape, boardroom or hollow-square layouts, with the published capacity next to what fits at standard spacing.

Find a venue: search all 831 rooms by guests and layout, room size, ceiling height, London area, the walk from the nearest station, bedrooms and brand, and open the one you want in 3D.

Furniture is laid out at standard spacing (theatre 0.55 × 0.95 m a seat; banquet 1.8 m rounds of ten on a 3.2 m grid; cocktail 0.9 m² a guest), so the “fits” figure is a planning check, not the hotel’s own floor plan. Chips under each room say whether its size and ceiling are published or inferred. Each hotel name below links to its official website. The same treatment for the Philippines: Philippine Hotels in 3D.
